FRIDAY, FEB 10
Caped Crusaders and Everyday Heroes (Feb 10-May 28). Unmask the history and science behind pop culture and real-life heroes through art and hands-on activities. Scottsdale Parada del Sol Parade & Trail’s End Festival (Sat Feb 11). World’s largest horse-drawn parade followed by a huge block party that includes a children’s Western village and more. Parade starts at 10am and proceeds down Scottsdale Road from Drinkwater to 2nd Street. World Championship Hoop Dance Contest (Sat-Sun Feb 11-12). The world’s best dancers perform with hoops to create designs including animals, butterflies and globes. 9:30am-5pm. $18 adults, $12 American Indians/museum members, $7.50 ages 4-12, under 4 free; includes event and museum admission. Arizona Renaissance Festival & Artisan Marketplace (Sat-Sun through Apr 2).
