2017 SEASON KICK-OFF

An annual celebration of the upcoming season, this free, family-friendly festival will share the theme, The Good, The Bad and The Weird with five new exhibitions in the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, and will present live music, great foods, outdoor festival, great atmosphere and more!
 
CITY LIGHTS MOVIE NIGHT

On the second Friday of every month, guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and chairs to watch a feature film on the big screen at the outdoor movie theater in Patriots Park. More than 1,200 guests attend each of these free, family friendly events that include giveaways, special-themed contests and prizes. This month's movie is Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

SECOND FRIDAY NIGHT OUT

Downtown Mesa
Mesa downtown galleries and businesses have joined together to create an exciting, friendly and free way to spend a Friday evening. With a new theme every month, visitors can enjoy an art walk, dining, shopping, activities, entertainment, and fun every 2nd Friday of the month. This event is held on Main Street between Center and Country Club. The information booth located on Main and Macdonald has a map of the evening's activities and locations.
 
Movies in the Desert features an outdoor movie for families the second Saturday of every month. On Saturday, September 9th guests will enjoy a live screening of Moana beginning at 6:30pm under the stars.

The ninety minute pre-movie entertainment show will begin at 5pm featuring a Moana meet and greet and photo opportunity; a Hawaiian dance performance; a learn to draw PUA activity, a Lei making station and a giveaway table with a prize wheel. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs/blankets while food and drinks will be available for purchase at the surrounding restaurants.

In just a few short years, Steve Byrne has risen through the ranks of the comedy world to become one of the industry’s most innovative and sought-after performers. With his high-energy, physical style of comedy, Byrne has evolved throughout the years into an extremely versatile entertainer that delivers on a day-to-day basis. His hilarious standup has been seen on NBC’s The Tonight Show, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS’s The Late Late Show and BET’s Comic View.
The Downtown Chandler Art Walk is held on the third Friday of the month, year-round, from 6 to 10 p.m. Dozens of talented artists in a variety of media showcase their art along the sidewalks of Boston and San Marcos Streets. Live music in the park, free kids activities and free parking. A map can be printed from the website.

Deon plays the hilarious co-worker Charlie, on ABC's hit comedy BLACK-ISH and can be seen as one of the lead roles in TBS's ANGIE TRIBECA created by Nancy and Steve Carell. Deon will also be seen in the feature film BARBERSHOP 3. He continues to be a featured guest correspondent on CONAN where he was also a two time Emmy Nominated writer. As a comedian for over 20 years, Deon has done standup on SHAQ's ALL STAR COMEDY JAM on SHOWTIME and has been featured on Kevin Hart's HART-BEAT TOUR, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, Laffapalooza, Def Comedy Jam and his own standup special on Comedy Central.
